I just learned about a new internet radio network by homeschoolers and for homeschoolers. The Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network currently has about a dozen homeschool speakers giving podcasts on a variety of topics. The shows include:
Some of the podcasts are live, but all can be listened to on the website or downloaded to a podcast player (like an iPod or the Downcast app on your iPhone) or listened to via iTunes. If you sign up for their email list on the website, The Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network will send you a weekly email of the shows airing that week. |

Just some thoughts…
I have barely enough time to jot some thoughts down today, but I thought that might bring comfort to you as you realize you are not alone in the busyness of life! Hear are some things I am trying to remember:
- Every day is precious.
- Take time to tell your family you love them.
- Don’t stress out; it doesn’t help anyone or anything if you do!
- Find something to laugh about today.
- Don’t plan too much to do for one day.
- Set reachable goals, you will feel like you accomplished something that way!
Have a great week!

Handwriting Worksheets
I found a great website that allows you to create your own free handwriting and spelling lists for your children to practice their handwriting. You can choose the size of letters to practice, anything from very small to very large. You can also choose the font you would like and whether you want your child to practice manuscript or cursive. You may print off the worksheet to use throughout the week. Check out the site by clicking on the link here. handwriting
Happy writing!

Free Preschool Apps
Many of you have little ones that want to be “doing school” along with brothers and sisters, and while I am not endorsing having your preschooler sit all morning with electronic devices, it is nice to have interactive games that will teach or reinforce concepts you have begun. I have included pictures of the apps below.
Dino Dot to Dot has 3 levels of difficulty and over 100 different connect-the-dot scenes. This game will help your preschooler recognize and learn their numbers and improve eye-hand coordination. Dot-to-dot pictures have reached a new level!
Play 123 has won the 2013 Editor’s Award from Children’s Technology Review magazine. Preschoolers will have fun drawing shapes, mixing colors, and counting numbers.
