Winter Math and Science

I look at (almost) everything as a lesson for school and these frigid temperatures are no exception. This morning’s low was below zero. You can show your student(s) was negative numbers look like on a number line. You can also calculate the difference in temperature from what it currently is to what the predicted high will be for today.

Something that is so much fun is to make snow. The narrator explains why this occurs too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_excnWQgDQ It really does work and we had a great time doing it. Be sure to be bundled up as you do this because it is not only cold, but the water will fall and you will likely get wet.

Have a great day!
