THE GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED. Thank you to all who participated. 🙂
Congratulations to Lori L and Lisa W! Please let me know you won when you schedule your portfolio review with me.
Hurray! It’s 2017 and that time of year for my annual portfolio review giveaway! 🙂
Two portfolios (each a $40.00 value) will be awarded and may be redeemed for the 2016-2017 school year. There are several ways to win for both my current blog subscribers and for people who wish to subscribe. See below for chances to win.
I will use a random number generator (random.org) for each entry that you meet the criteria and submit your name. The contest ends on February 3, 2017. I will verify the winners and post the winner’s names on my blog. If your name happens to have been chosen twice, you will only be able to receive one free portfolio and I will have the number generator pick a new number to be the winner.
You may schedule your appointment between March 1 and July 31. Best wishes!

One thing I’ve enjoyed teaching this year is History. We’ve learned about different important people in our nation’s history. Not only have the kids both liked it, which is hard to get them both to like something, but I’ve learned some new things too!

I am enjoying teaching one of my daughters everything she needs to prepare for her journey to college. I am enjoying teaching my other daughter Spanish. Homeschooling is the best way to educate your child and prepare them for life (in my humble opinion ).

I have enjoyed teaching my son to read! He is my second but there is such an excitement kids get when they start figuring out sounds…he smiles and giggles and lives to find words to read where ever we are. Glad I have one more to go through this process with!

This year we started having an intentional “morning basket” time. The kids love it and it helps start our day right.

My favorite subject to teach this year was Bible. We used a program where you draw the Bible story as you listen to it. The kids had a great time and doing this helped them remember the details!:)

We are doing a Geography games class at co-op this year and it has been fun to use games as a vehicle to learn country locations, flags, etc. We are grateful for your encouragement and input in the past during our portfolio reviews.

I have enjoyed our Bible studies learning the word of God is wonderful. I have also enjoyed art class. Joshua has a great teacher and he is really interested in art There are many things to learn in art and you would never realize unless you took the class.

Hi Lisa! I have throughly enjoyed your blog this past year. Your wisdom and insight are invaluable. Thank you for the time you invest into the homeschooling community. Bible is my favorite subject to teach my children, but I must admit, I have enjoyed teaching them math this past school year. I learn along with them. Blessings to you and yours!

Hi Lisa! One of my favorite things I taught the kids this year was our lesson on plants. We took the time to investigate plants in our own yard, in the nearby park, and at Krohn’s Conservatory. It was a field trip enjoyed by all!
